The International Conference to Support Gaza and the Resistance "Freedom for Palestine"
The International Conference to Support Gaza and the Resistance "Freedom for Palestine", held in Istanbul on January 14−15, was a crucial gathering of various international figures and institutions. The conference, organized by the Al-Quds International Institution and the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, saw a significant delegation from the European Muslim Forum (EMF), emphasizing their dedication to the Palestinian cause.
Among the notable attendees were partners and friends of EMF, including respected journalists and political commentators Maxim Shevchenko and Ekaterina Gordon, prolific writer Israel Shamir, and the grandson of the revered Nelson Mandela. Leaders from the HÜDA PAR also attended the event.

The conference, focused on the idea of "Freedom for Palestine," was marked by the presence of a delegation from the European Muslim Forum, which played an active role in discussions on cooperation for future initiatives, including a proposed global summit for Palestine in Dublin.
The conference emphasized two main initiatives: "Zionism is Racism," aiming to shift the narrative around the ideology affecting Palestinian rights, and "Resistance is a Right and a Duty," which supports the inalienable right to resist occupation.
The event offered a platform for delegates to voice their concerns about the systematic challenges facing Palestinians, including the blockade of Gaza and efforts to delegitimize Palestinian resistance. In powerful addresses, speakers highlighted the importance of international solidarity, the need for comprehensive strategies to combat injustice, and the role of resistance as a fundamental human right.

Through rich discourse and strategic dialogue, the conference endeavored to align global efforts to confront and challenge the political and social structures that undermine the Palestinian struggle for freedom and justice. The gathering was not only a testament to the ongoing support for Palestine but also a preparatory step for more extensive global cooperation, as evidenced by the talks with EMF about organizing a major summit in Ireland. This summit is envisioned as a milestone event to consolidate international efforts and advocate for the Palestinian cause on a larger scale.
