On International Children’s Day, which is celebrated around the world today, June 1, the shocking truth about the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe in the lands of Palestine became known.
The International Association for the Protection of Children stated that, since the beginning of the second intifada (September 2000), more than 2,400 Palestinian children have been killed by security forces in Israel. The association emphasizes that over the past 20 years, one small Palestinian has been killed every three days at the hands of the authorities in the country!
In addition to these sad statistics, about 750 Palestinian children are arrested and imprisoned in Israel every year. In total, more than 14,500 Palestinian children have been arrested since the beginning of the second intifada, 450 of whom are still in prison.
